I've admired John Philip Shenale's work since I first discovered Tori Amos when I was 12 years old. He brought the songs on "Runaways" to life with his string, brass, and wind arrangements. They are too beautiful for words and I'm so excited and honored for Phil's compositions to be part of the "Runaways" albums. What an amazing experience recording with a talented team of musicians at Vox Studios in Los Angeles, with the fabulous Michael Harris engineering.
